Plan Your Sewing Room
Organize your space around the foundational triangle of making: Cutting, Sewing, and Pressing. Balance chair pushback clearances against door swings, and evaluate folding versus permanent furniture.
Key Clearances for Sewing:
- Chair Slide Zone: 28″–32″ minimum behind the table for comfortable pedal operation.
- Rotary Walkway: 28″ unobstructed access along at least two cutting table sides.
- Pressing Stance: 28″ front stance before the ironing board plus 8″ steam clearance.
Craft Expansion Stages
Craft Space Studio expands incrementally based on verified dimensional evidence.
Focus: Heavy fabric bulk management, rear extension drop leaves, and oversized rotary cutting islands. (Phase 2)
Focus: Left-side embroidery arm travel envelopes (8″–14″), multi-hoop wall storage, and thread cone racks. (Phase 2)
